Ann Morris

Ann trained at the Royal Melbourne Hospital from 1968-1971. She started working in Diabetes Education in 1976 at the Royal Children’s Hospital. In 1980, Diabetes Foundation Vic (now Diabetes Victoria) and in 1984, Ann moved to Warrnambool where she has continued her work in Diabetes Education to the current day and now in her own Private Practice. Along with Jan Baldwin and many others, she is a founding member of Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA) and now recognised as an Honorary Life member. Ann takes a psychologically sensitive and person centred approach to delivery of care and measures diabetes distress routinely in her practice. 2011, “JDRF Diabetes Educator of the year for ‘Impact & relationships’” 2016 “CDE of the Year for Victoria” Ann has worked in diabetes education for 40 years this year.
