Linda J Beeney

Dr Linda Beeney owns Diabetes + Medical Psychology Services, a business offering specialized clinical psychology services for individuals with diabetes and other medical illnesses, their families and health professionals. As well as her busy Sydney private practice, she is also a Lecturer at the University of Sydney and provides consultancy services to health-related organizations. Linda is a Board Registered Health Psychologist and holds a PhD in Medicine from the University of Sydney. Funding from the NHMRC, NHF + other granting bodies supports her research career focused on provider-patient communication, educational interventions, diabetes distress, questionnaire design and media. She reviews manuscripts for diabetes journals, has authored numerous research articles and book chapters and is a frequent invited speaker at local, national and international conferences. Linda is a member of the Australian Psychological Society, Australian Diabetes Society and the American Diabetes Association.
